Gold fill is not plating and it is not solid gold. A thick layer of 14k gold is pressure-bonded to a brass core, which is why it holds its color far longer than a plated piece.

Take it off for swimming, showering and the gym. Chlorine, salt water and sweat are what shorten the life of any gold fill or sterling piece.

Finding your size

Measure a bracelet you already own and like the fit of. If you don't have one, wrap a piece of string around your wrist, mark where it meets, and lay it flat against a ruler. A tape measure is hard to hold flat against a curve, and it is where most sizing mistakes start.

This piece is made to a set length and does not adjust. The bead run determines the length, so the size you choose is the size it stays.

If your measurement falls between two lengths, take the larger one. There is no chain to let out.

The phrase is spelled in morse code — iridescent green and purple glass beads where the letters would be — so you choose who gets told what it means.

925 Sterling Silver or 14k Gold Fill on a dainty chain, in eight fixed lengths from 6 to 7.75 inches, with a spring ring clasp as standard and lobster or magnetic as an upgrade.
